Transportation Planning: Downtown Vancouver is an online forum for responding to unsafe transportation infrastructure. Through research I found that Vancouver’s downtown transportation infrastructure does not accommodate the rapid growth, high density, and mixed land use of the region. The forum initiates communication between transportation planners and the public so they can inform and understand one another. The system enables those to voice solutions, concerns, events, and memorials pertaining to inadequate transportation infrastructure in the form of audio or visual media. The forum bridges the gap between transportation planners and the public, building a safe and livable downtown.
