The theatricalized or performative photograph, the staged tableau, looks at a layering of imaging and complexities. Different realities collaged together or superimposed one upon the other make a multi-dimensional image almost surreal in nature. What are they acting out, a woman taking the place of a man on the cross and another woman outlining the cross around her figure? It is a set up for more questions than answers, different levels of reality. You are never quite sure what is occurring or how these women have been brought together.
