I am an interdisciplinary artist working in video, performance, sound and installation art. In my four years as a media arts student at Emily Carr Institute the focus of my work has been storytelling and self-portraiture. Elements of sound and methods of installation have broadened my scope, allowing me to add more layers to a video projection or performance piece. My work deals with personal issues of identity and the exploration of the body. My performance is informed by dance although I am not a professionally trained dancer. Body movement linked with sound, photography and video have all been prevalent in my work.
