This project was made in response to the over consumption or the heavily reliance on plastics for human survival. The amount of crude oil that is used to produce plastic bags is unbelievable, for this project I wanted to show other alternatives for the recycling of plastic bags; many of these bags end up in the ocean or in landfills. Plastic bags take thousands of years to decompose, they are one of the top killers in ocean creatures. However plastic bags are now being recognized as being harmful; there are laws in certain countries, they are being taxed and even being outlawed altogether (oil produced).
