The second in a series of Dérive paintings (the Situationist practice of wandering in order to search and study underlying psychogeography). This work encourages the viewer to wonder; creating links between the past and present through languages, metaphysics, popular culture and pun. Dérive paintings, both in their execution and viewing, act as imaginary time/spaces for projection and play; perhaps as a way to gain further awareness into one’s consciousness. One must take caution, however, when delving into the depths of one’s own mind, for it is never quite certain when one may find a hare in one’s plate.
