I like to come up with an idea first then choose the medium based on the concept. My work has involved the appropriation of famous images. I reconstruct and alter historical icons or paintings using different mediums and compositions to question the way people understand images. The transformation not only changes the original work but also adds a new layer of meaning. My work also directly addresses the influences of discourse by combining and integrating interdisciplinary subject matter.
