My drawing and collage expresses my curiosity and humor when examining the human condition. Presently, my work explores portraiture and semi abstraction through the use of various materials such as paper, cardboard, magazine cutouts, charcoal, graphite and paint. This process has become an investigation of my imagination, a quest to try and understand the function of materiality and how we relate to the representation of the human figure. I am drawn to creating characters that are ambiguous, people that look familiar to us but are somewhat untraceable.
