The mouth is a source of pleasure and the maker of speech. My work occupies a space of oral fixation and accepts the challenge of capturing the ephemeral, if only for a moment. I tend to use humour as a point of entrance to my work and strive to break down the invisible wall between the artist and audience. Dualities also interest me: comfort/discomfort, attraction/repulsion, and how these ideas can be contained in a single object or be conjured by an event.
