SHUEI Mobile Plate was designed with the intention of making food takeout more environmentally-friendly, by making it reusable with recyclable materials. The plate can transform from a horizontal eating position to a vertical takeout box. The aircraft plywood itself acts as the hinge thanks to its unique ability to bend. The laser cutout patterns on the wood also help to release the pressure when it bends. The hand made aluminum handles lock into each other to close the plate when people use it as a takeout box.
