Through the utilization of both digital and analogue mediums, my photographs function as a unique document of the people and places that have influenced my life which represent a unique diversity of ideas and inspirations. I am interested in the elements of dress-up and performance in portraiture and fashion photography. I use my camera as an investigative tool to understand the complex relationships between camera and subject. By incorporating elements of abstraction and distortion, my compositions embody the minimalism of my rural experience growing up in Kamloops, B.C with the bustling energy of my contemporary urban development in Vancouver.
