Gently nudging the man next to you on the bus who is leaning too much into you. Glaring down at that person with bad music blaring out of their headphones. I am interested in articulating the tension that occurs when attempting to assert personal space in very public spaces such as public transportation. As well, the environments themselves of these public places have an effect on our experience. By looking at my everyday surroundings I am able to think about how we negotiate these always changing set of unspoken rules.
