22” X 22”
When I’m walking in the city it is easy to spot other people because they look so natural, they are the only things that move. On the other hand in the mountains a person transforms into a cultural object that no longer represents the natural, but instead a linear idea of progress and technology. Within the frame I wanted to create this dichotomy. The first square is filled with the figure, whereas in the second square, the urban figure is being dwarfed by the city.
