Have you ever read the poem The History of One Tough Motherfucker by Charles Bukowski? You should. The poem is essentially about the relationship formed between Bukowski and a stray cat. But it is much more than that, it sums up all my feelings about fine art and it’s industry. Animals are important, beautiful, wonderfully complex sentient beings worthy of our attention. Due to my strong belief in the rights of animals it makes sense that my work be about them.
