My process is driven by my desire to include as many opportunities for satisfying paint application as possible, as well as to investigate the object status of painting through material application with acknowledgement of the surface. I understand that no matter what I decide to depict there will always be a unique and subjective reading. The viewer is inclined to engage with my art with the knowledge that comprehension depends on their viewing capacity. My goal is to challenge the viewer to trust their imagination and to empower them to bring their own ideas to the interpretation.
